KEY TASKS
- Served as the game’s producer managing a small team consisting of a web content manager, a remote game development studio, two multimedia designers, three music producers, one voice over talent and twenty (20) beta testers.
- Coordinated daily and weekly dialog with development studio via WhatsApp to ensure correct actualization of the game’s requirements, functionality, UX and key gameplay features via detailed design documents.
- Managed and tracked all game development and assets creation with FogBugz.
- Worked side by side with 2 multimedia designers to produce the correct visual aesthetic.
- Obtained feedback from beta testers regularly and monitored Google Analytics to test UX efforts.
- Directed, wrote, and edited all official video content (updates and tutorials).
- Created the official Black Spades logo, collateral and in-game promotional ads.

OVERVIEW
Black Spades is a groundbreaking mobile game that reflects the authenticity and nostalgia that take place on college campuses, BBQs, crawfish boils, holiday gatherings, game nights/tournaments and anytime family and friends get together. It is the first of its kind in mobile spades games that integrates reneg capability, blind bidding, deuces wild, Jokers and all of the other rules deeply rooted in African-American card playing traditions.
1.) My final pen sketch that became the framework for the game’s UI. 2.) Initial skin test by contract designer based on my core UI requirements 3.) Last skin by contract designer under my creative direction. 4.) I reworked then finalized the skin made by my contract designer into the final game UI.
I created the design of the official trademarked B Spade logo and logo text for Black Spades. Pictured above is the final “B Spade logo” in a golden style made by a contracted graphic designer. I also created the “rays” background that is used across all design collateral.
I produced, edited and wrote 5 tutorial videos for Black Spades that can be accessed from the game or directly on YouTube. I also provided the voice overs for two of the tutorials videos.

Designed a deck of casino grade playing cards from the game’s card deck.
Designed and created an Instagram social media trivia campaign that ran for 31 days. Each day two graphics were posted containing the trivia question and the answer.
A deck created to give potential business partners more insight into the game, and highlight opportunities.
Designed three skins for Black Spades that centered around a theme or partnership. Each skin customized the major elements of the game’s user interface.
Designed native (first-party) banner ads to be displayed on the game’s News & Updates section and above the gameplay screen.
